Having worked in social housing for many years before retiring, have always been passionate about supporting communities and helping people feel secure and valued where they live.
I moved to Wigginton nearly three years ago with my husband and felt inspired by the strong sense of community here. I wanted to play an active role rather than simply observe from the side lines, and joining the Parish Council felt like a natural step.
I particularly enjoy getting involved in practical projects that make a visible difference. The availability of the CIL funding has provided valuable opportunities to support local improvements and I look forward to taking an active role in future initiatives that enhance facilities and benefit residents and strengthen our community. My responsibility within the Council is primarily to organise the structure, collate the content and publication of the annual newsletter ‘The Oddy’ which was re-formatted last year from an A4 paper based document to an A5 booklet. I look forward to serving the community as an active member of the Parish Council for the foreseeable future

I have lived in the area for 25 years and consider myself extremely lucky to have lived in Wigginton village since 2005 with my family.
Although not retired yet, I wanted to invest some time in giving back to the village. Hopefully I will be able to become more involved in a couple of years as I reach retirement.

I have lived in Wigginton since 1987 but spent many years commuting to London. Joining the parish council has given me the opportunity to get to know our unique and special village much better and take a more active part in our community.
My responsibility for planning on the Parish Council is all about representing local views and providing community specific knowledge to the planning authority. It’s so we can maintain the integrity of our fantastic hilltop village, the green belt and the environment.

I moved to Wigginton in January 2019, taking on the role of Clerk to the Parish Council some months previously. I was Clerk for approximately two years. After taking a short break, I returned to take on the role of Councillor. My time as the clerk gave me an insight into the workings of the Parish Council and I wanted to play a further part in supporting the community of Wigginton. My responsibility for Highways and Footpaths on the Parish Council involves liaising with various groups to progress improvements as well as being hands on with activities such as litter-picks. I am also involved with the Big Picnic committee.

I live in Kings Langley with my son and daughter, 2 rescue cats and 2 hamsters. I have been a Clerk and RFO (Responsible Financial Officer) since January 2020 and in 2023 completed training and obtained CiLCA qualifications (Certificate in Local Council Administration). I moved to England from Poland in December 2003 .I also work as a Clerk and RFO for Aldbury Parish Council. Parish clerks often wear many hats—administration, finance, governance, compliance, and community liaison—so enjoying the variety in the work is a big plus.
